Your support is important to our work at Our Baby's Legacy. There are many ways you can contribute towards our causes, and every little bit that you commit goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission. We want to make sure you know exactly how impactful your donations are!
CUDDLE COT PLACEMENT
A Cuddle Cot is a medical device that cools the bassinet of a baby that has passed away in a hospital. This slows the effect of time on them and allows the families to spend longer with them before saying their forever goodbyes. Our Baby's Legacy, with the assistance of other families, place Cuddle Cots in hospitals that do not have them for families to use. It's truly the gift of time to create memories of moments and photos they will never get to recreate with their children again.
HEAVENLY HUGS
Our Heavenly Hugs Memorial Animals are meaningful tools that bring bereaved families comfort as they journey life living with loss. Each animal sold online covers its own costs, and our goal for the coming year is to begin donating them to hospitals so the parents have something to fill their arms when they leave.
OPPERATIONAL NEEDS
Our Baby's Legacy is run and operated as professional corporation. This is a good thing because with a proper business model, we can make the most efficient and effective use of your donations. Operating such an organization requires expenses such as website design, maintenance, and hosting. Also accounting, book keeping, office supplies, and other miscellaneous items are necessary. Fortunately we have many gifted volunteers that offer some of these things for free or at discount. So most of our operational costs are at a surprising minimum and we only use a small fraction of our resources on operational needs. None the less, with out them we couldn't do any of the more impactful things for our mission such as Cuddle Cot placements. Operational expenses are the least exciting thing we spend our funding on but they are still a foundational and important way to have your generous donations allocated with in Our Baby's Legacy.
FUNDRAISERS & EVENTS
Fundraisers and events are some of our  favorite ways to help and interact with our community. They help us raise awareness, and funds, as well as support our bereaved families all at once. Some of the expenses that go into these can be recouped and some can not. Also for those that are replenished from the events or fundraisers, initial costs need to be covered first, and that's where working capital is needed to even get these supportive activities off the ground. By donating to Our Baby's Legacy, your gift allows us to make event and fundraisers possible.
NON-MONETARY NEEDS
We have a list of items that we are always open to receiving. For example, we ask for like new Willow Tree figurines to be repurposed into one that represent pregnancy and infant losses. They are then sold in our store as a fundraising item for operational expenses and other programs.Â
We also ask for bereavement support books that families may want to pass along. We included them in our grief boxes.

Our Baby's Legacy is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit. This status comes with compliance requirements at both the state and federal level and requires annual filing of a corporate report. This means that you can rest assured that your donations are going to a reputable organization that is held accountable for our income and expenses.
